Concert for Hope, June 2015

This summer the chemotherapy tent outside the AMPATH Centre was taken down and the doors of the Chandaria Cancer and Chronic Disease Centre were open for business. To celebrate, two-time Grammy Award winner and IU Jacobs School of Music faculty member, Sylvia McNair, performed a free concert in June. The lobby was packed with patients and North American and Kenyan faculty, staff, and students to hear Sylvia’s performance. Sylvia, who has been to Eldoret three times, spent much of her month-long visit volunteering for Sarah Ellen Mamlin and the Neema Children’s home.
